Reaching the Japanese people with the Gospel can be a challenging mission, especially when the language barrier is so significant for missionaries. A couple from Alaska, who arrived in Kyushu, Japan in August 2024 as first-time missionaries, reached out to New Life Ministries for Manga Bible booklets used by their missionary friends in Tokyo. With limited ability to speak Japanese fluently, they needed materials that could communicate the Gospel message immediately.
From handing out copies to strangers on the street or at convenience stores to distributing them to hundreds of homes via mailboxes, their efforts are reaching people in Kyushu who might otherwise be too shy or reluctant to engage directly.
“My eyes were opened to a great way to get Manga Messiah right to people. I was helping a missionary team from Singapore distribute Christmas Gospel tracts to roughly 2,500 homes in my area in a single day! The response has been really positive. People who had never heard the Gospel before were able to receive it in a way that felt easy and not forced.”
With school exams causing a lot of stress, the message of peace that comes from Jesus has been a much-needed rest.
“We distributed right outside of schools and gave Manga Bible booklets to dozens of students at a time who were happy to receive them. It was so encouraging and we pray that a Manga Bible booklet plants a seed that grows into genuine faith and a true relationship with Jesus!”

新生宣教団は、日本をはじめ世界の人々のために、各国の言葉で聖書や福音文書などを印刷するキリスト教プロテスタントの宣教団体です。
新生宣教団はキリスト教超教派の団体として、1954年に「新生運動協力会」として設立されて以来、児童伝道、放送伝道、文書伝道などを行ってきました。今ではこれらの活動は文書伝道（印刷）に集約されています。
いつの時代も聖書を求める声がなくなることはなく、私たちはそんな切なる求めに応えるべく、国内外のミッションパートナーと協力して力を尽くしています。

New Life Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to serving the Lord by printing and sending Bibles and Gospel literature to Japan and the rest of the world, in each people group’s heart language.
Beginning in 1954, under the name New Life League, the ministry reached out to children, provided Gospel literature, and did evangelism through radio broadcast.
Later on, the work shifted more to the collection and printing of Gospel literature as the main focus.
Throughout history, there has always been a call for the supply of Bibles, and New Life Ministries has continued to do all that it can to meet the demand. Our purpose is to see Japan changed for Jesus, and that the whole world be filled with His precious Word.
