In 2022, an Iceland-based ministry had a burden to reach Polish people living in Iceland, and commissioned the translation of Manga Messiah into Polish.
After the translation, New Life Ministries sent 1,920 copies to Iceland, with a larger portion sent to Poland.
The Icelandic ministry shared the following about the day they got the books.
We had almost no addresses for people or congregations to give books to.
But when we had loaded the books into the car in Reykjavík, we started distributing the books.
The Lord reminded us of various churches and organizations that I should call and the “strange” thing was that the places were sort of in order on the map.
Almost everyone I called was able to receive the books within minutes of the call. Many of them had direct contacts with Poles.
So when we started the journey home (we live about 8 hours’ drive from Reykjavík) we had solved the problem of where to store books that we hadn’t given away… they were distributed, and there were only 12 boxes (576 copies) we had left when we arrived home.
We said it explicitly that the books are free, not to be sold. All those who received the books were so happy and we know that they were the right people who received them because it was the Lord who opened the door so perfectly. Then we also have to trust that the books will eventually reach the right people.
Unfortunately, I have no testimonies of how the word has spoken.
But I think we’ll probably hear something about that later. This project is completely guided by the Holy Spirit, as this is His work.
We may fully never know the impact of these Polish Manga Messiah books in Iceland or in other places where we have sent Manga and Bibles throughout these many years.
But let us continue to pray for these projects, big or small, as they hold eternal value for so many people that encounter the Word of God through such projects.
New Life Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to serving the Lord by printing and sending Bibles and Gospel literature to Japan and the rest of the world, in each people group’s heart language.
Beginning in 1954, under the name New Life League, the ministry reached out to children, provided Gospel literature, and did evangelism through radio broadcast.
