A thank you message from a pastor of a church in Venezuela who started a project for children after receiving Manga Messiah.
At church I work with the children because I believe that it is a fundamental need. Before receiving the Manga Messiah Gospel, we had very few children in the church, including some with slightly rebellious attitudes.
When the book arrived, I said, “Wow! This is what we need.”
I started a set of motivational activities with the children of the church and gave them the Manga Gospel as a prize. As a result, the children invited others to participate too.
Little by little, they prepared expositions while I assisted them by providing illustrations. One of the children had a bit of a rebellious attitude, and although his presentation had not gone so well, I gave him a Manga Gospel and told him, “Here, son, I know that this will help you.” The child left very happy and began to read it.
On one occasion, the boy’s mother asked me, “Pastor, what did you do to Anderson?” I said to her, “Me, absolutely nothing,” and she replied, “Since you gave him that book (referring to the Manga), the boy has changed, and he’s not rebellious anymore.” The news made me very happy. Seeing the change in the boy was a wonderful thing.
The other children in the group were just as excited. After seeing the wonderful results in the church, I decided to implement it in a new cell group in another sector called Ojo de Agua.
We started with 8 children and in the next gathering, attendance doubled to 16 in total. They all wanted to read the Manga.
From then on, I reaffirmed my commitment to God and to the children in the community.
We began teaching them through different activities while encouraging them to know more about Jesus, saying, “I will give the New Testament to anyone who reads the Manga, so that you may look for specific verses and compare them in both books.”
As a result, they all read the Manga because they wanted the New Testament and were excited about all the activities of the group.
God has creative methods and gives us wisdom to work. We thank New Life Ministries and its partners for sharing this valuable material with us to impact children and guide them to know Jesus.
Aiberlyn is a girl who lives in a popular and poor zone of Caracas, where insecurity prevails, due to constant confrontations between criminals for the control of the sale, trafficking, and use of drugs.
In this neighborhood, the population lacks the basic services that are essential for life.
Raised in a precarious family context, with lack of affection, we noticed that when classes started, she was a very withdrawn, shy, and reserved girl. She had trouble expressing herself and relating to other children.
By our third gathering, we noted a satisfactory change in her.
Little by little, she is now interacting with the other children.
When asked, she answers questions about the “Messiah” and has been progressively involved in the devotionals of the children’s meeting. Recently, she spontaneously led us in a time of prayer.
We give glory to God for the life of this girl who is being transformed by the Word of God through the Manga Gospel.

New Life Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to serving the Lord by printing and sending Bibles and Gospel literature to Japan and the rest of the world, in each people group’s heart language.
Beginning in 1954, under the name New Life League, the ministry reached out to children, provided Gospel literature, and did evangelism through radio broadcast.
Later on, the work shifted more to the collection and printing of Gospel literature as the main focus.
Throughout history, there has always been a call for the supply of Bibles, and New Life Ministries has continued to do all that it can to meet the demand. Our purpose is to see Japan changed for Jesus, and that the whole world be filled with His precious Word.
