We would like to share a report of projects and printing achievements from January through December 2023.
In 2023, a combination of favorable circumstances allowed us to print an unprecedented number of Bibles and Manga Bibles in recent years. This totaled approximately 3,610,000 pieces of Scripture. In particular, the Manga was printed in high quantities.
The Bibles and Manga printed in 2023 are as follows:
Our factory has been running day and night in order to print. Our facility needs repair, and manpower is low, however it was only by your prayers that made it possible to print such large volumes of Bibles and Manga. We really appreciate your prayer and support.
Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, upon the request of the Ukrainian Bible Society and New Life Ministries Norway, we have printed many Ukrainian Bibles.
In 2022, a total of 135,000 copies of the Bible (both full Bibles and NTs) have been printed, and in 2023, we were able to print 335,000 more copies of the Bible. This means, we have printed 470,000 copies of Ukrainian Bibles altogether. The Bibles have already arrived in Ukraine, and Ukrainian Bible Society and New Life Ministries Norway have been distributing them. At New Life Ministries, we have covered the cost of JPY 26 million, which accounts for 60,000 copies. The remaining cost is JPY 18,397,000 (as of Feb 15th 2024). We are still seeking support for this cost. Please remember to pray and support us.
In 2023, the “Manna Project” began.
This project is a special project which came to pass thanks to the support of people who have a burden for literature evangelism in Japan. This project provides full color manga booklets The Messiah, The Mutiny and The Majesty competely free of charge, that recipient can use for evangelism through their church or in their own outreach activities.
Since the project began in March 2023, 420 people have requested material totaling more than 92,000 copies.
We have also been providing these with different seasonal themes, including Christmas and Easter.

In 2023, we co-operated with our mission partner, World Vision Philippines, and took part in a project which distributed 38,400 copies of Tagalog Manga Messiah to children in the Philippines.
Thankfully, the offering of 600,000 JPY for the shipping fee for this project has been met. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks for your prayer and support. Please look forward to the report of this project, which is coming soon!
We were able to print over 3.5 million Bibles and gospel literature and sent to all parts of the world in 2023.

New Life Ministries is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to serving the Lord by printing and sending Bibles and Gospel literature to Japan and the rest of the world, in each people group’s heart language.
Beginning in 1954, under the name New Life League, the ministry reached out to children, provided Gospel literature, and did evangelism through radio broadcast.
Later on, the work shifted more to the collection and printing of Gospel literature as the main focus.
Throughout history, there has always been a call for the supply of Bibles, and New Life Ministries has continued to do all that it can to meet the demand. Our purpose is to see Japan changed for Jesus, and that the whole world be filled with His precious Word.
